The site has been a hot spot for fly tipping, so the idea of a mural celebrating nature, with bold colours and shapes aiming to make everyone smile was chosen as a solution to create a new form of respect, and improve the neighbourhood.

Parakeets are tropical birds, and are calling London home. They are also a social specie, staying in groups. They can be found in large numbers in the E15 Area, so the metaphor for immigration, home, love and happiness was an obvious one.
