The mural showcases the map of the Lac de Serre-Ponçon, the arrival of water from La Durance & l'Ubbaye rivers, as well as the exit into the Canal de Provence.
The design explicitely states that millions of people get drinking water straight from the lac. Farming also hugely benefits from it. And firemen can use its water ressource to fight fires.
